Starting your career- What you need?

In the beginning of a career, what one needs is stability to set in a particular job role. This is one of the hardest struggles freshers have to face. This is mainly due to reason that most of the new graduates are not very clear about the kind of job they are looking for, the job profile they want to work with, the kind of skills that they have, can acquire, and what the employers seek. The best thing to start a career is to choose the field in which you are most interested in and research on start-ups in that field. You will notice, that most start-ups do offer a good package, though not every start-up will offer many employee benefit, the kind of experience they provide a graduate is incomparable.

Big or Small- What’s the Difference?

At a big company you go to work, at a small company you go to expand the horizons, that’s the difference. A big company has already broad horizons, with the managers working towards new concepts, better ideas, and more credibility, while the trainees and the juniors merely follow procedures, rules, and orders. There is less scope for expanding your knowledge on how a company works, in spite of their well-crafted presentations, and even lesser scope for acquiring knowledge beyond the role of your work. Now, this can be a disadvantage, especially for those who are still confused or who have not yet explored all their skills.

Start-ups offer great opportunities for personal growth. You get to learn while working. One of the benefits, which many feel is a disadvantage of working at a start-up, is doing work of other job roles. For someone who is starting his career, this is actually one of the best experiences to gain.

How working at a start-up is beneficial to your career growth?
